Today, I saw MAN OF STEEL. Loved the story. I will give it 10/10.
However, in cast, I feel that there were many characters whose Smallville characters were better. For example, Erica Durance made a better Lois Lane than Amy Adams. Amy Adams did not change a bit. It seems that she has not aged at all since 2001 when she appeared in Smallville episode "Craving". Henry Cavill has a great voice. But in terms of appearance, I would have still preferred Tom Welling.
And Callum Blue made a better Zod than Michael Shennon. Same thing goes for Dr. Emil Hamilton.
In the credits, instead of crediting Jonathan Nolan, WB credited Christopher Nolan with David S Goyer. Perhaps they feel that Christopher is a bigger brand than Jonathan.
The only character whose MAN OF STEEL version was better than Smallville version is Faora.
Also, I am surprised to see that there was no Jimmy Olsen in this movie. Producers forgot that he is an important character of Superman comics.
Usually in movies, the lead heroine is the hottest looking character. But instead of Lois Lane, Ayelet Zurer (Lara Lor-Von) and Antje Traue (Faora) were the hottest females in the movie.
Zack Snyder did an awesome job as director in this movie but in my opinion, the best Zack Snyder movie is still Watchmen.
